There is a reason everybody is focusing on just the fact that Kerry served in Vietnam, and not any of the specifics of his service, his actions after returning home, or even his actions in the United States Senate. If they would care to look at any of those things, they would find that Kerry is one of the most radical, anti-war, anti-military men in American history.

As far as his actual service goes, it must not have been all that great if all these people are coming out against him. Unlike Bush, people actually remember what John Kerry was like during his service Vietnam. A bunch of swiftboat commanders have gotten together to write a book about their comrade: "Unfit for Command : Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry." I don't know what else needs to be said about that book, because the title actually speaks for itself! Vietnam veterans have spoken out against John Kerry in throngs. And little does anyone in the liberal media say that Kerry "used an obscure Navy regulation to leave Vietnam and his crew before completing his tour of duty. After returning home, he quit the Navy early and changed the color of his politics to become a leader of VVAW. "

I dont understand how people can support such a man based on the fact that he served, and then overlook these massive characteristics that should at least raise and eyebrow or two. How can you trust a man like this to defend us? How can troops allow their lives to be put in this mans hand, the same hand that has looked to cut and undermine them everyday on the Senate floor?

So, if you are a serviceman or a dependant and are disgruntled because of a deployment, John Kerry is not the answer. He will do more harm than good to the United States military, let alone the entire country. You really need to think about it and not let your emotions rule the way you vote in November.
