It meant a lot to women when Geraldine Ferraro ran for VP. I'm not trying to invite comments on what you think Ferraro said or meant this cycle. I'm simply stating that when she was chosen as the VP candidate, it seemed as if we'd taken a step.

It would also send quite a message if the top two jobs in the land were not held by white men. I would say the same if Hillary somehow gets the nod. She should choose Obama.
