Simple common sense. Clark is doing a ton of media performances because Kerry is having him scheduled as his surrogate. And each time Clark does one of those appearances, Kerry schedules him for several more. If your viewpoint was widely shared, Kerry would have to really be working for Bush to chose Clark as his primary on air surrogate. I trust Kerry and his staff's perception of Clark's effectiveness much more than yours.
