Nunn and Boren were the main players in the bi-partisan group that was supposed to prop up Bloomberg. or so the political gossip went. They were the main organizaers of the a meeting in Oklahoma last december. Among other participants, off the top of my head, Bloomberg (of course), Gary Hart, Hagel, Susan Eisenhower (emforsed Obama a while back), Bill Cohen, etc.

Edited to add: "Nunn and Boren have accepted Senator Obama’s invitation to serve as advisers to his National Security Foreign Policy Team. ". That's pretty damn good in terms in national security credentials. http://thepage.time.com/endorsement-statements-of-forme...
