47. It really is that simple
In any free society, political parties and candidates need money to operate.

There is however a principle which says that a democratic political party should represent the interests of its constituents regardless of how much they pay into it. I support the Democratic party, not the Plutocratic party.

Individuals should not be able to elevate their importance in the party by buying their way there.

And you know it.
