I just can't see that happening without some outcry. Obama has already put in so much work and brought a new message to the many new voters and for Gore to usurp this could be catastrophic.

What Gore Can do is endorse Obama, better sooner than later, and take up a cabinet position of his choice, if he wants it, like Environment minister or something suitable.
