124. hi there, back to you from an iraq vet
pringles, calm down please. at ease. point by point:

“Barack knows what it means living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich, white people. Hillary would never know that.”
--Of course she does. If America is this country and she lives there, then how could she not know.
~there's a great difference in experience in america. you can be harassed for "driving while black" pretty much anywhere, still. need more examples? minorities were much more likely to be steered into subprime loans during the housing boom -even if they were exactly as qualified- making minority home buyers one of the lesser known victems of the housing bubble. and, they may fuss back and forth about affirmative action admissions to college, but they'll never take away legacy admissions -like the ones that got bush into the ivy leage schools he attended.

“Hillary ain’t never been called a nigger. Hillary has never had a people defined as a non-person.”
--1. Prove it, and 2. Women were legally and still culturally also treated as property.
~blacks started out being defined as what, 3/5 of a person with no rights of any kind, children ripped from their arms, etc. you can make a case for your second point here but it's kind of weak...

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes three-strike laws and wants them to sing God Bless America. No! No No! God damn America … for killing innocent people. God damn America for threatening citizens as less than humans. God damn America as long as she tries to act like she is God and supreme.”
--People choose to take the drugs. One strike is enough, you're right. Obama is pretty fired up about going into Pakistan to start putting more innocent people in the way in an attempt to smoke out more terrorists and "kill them" - would that be with trial and jury, or using arcane rules of war to justify the murders? Citizens - that would be including women and children of all colors, children being the last to suffer under the laws of being property and not protected by laws of assault.
~you remember the Oakland Tribune series about the CIA funneling crack cocain into the black communities through the crips and bloods? never disproven. the CIA ran heroin out of southeast asia, also, right? the US does indeed have the highest rate of incarceration in the world. the three strikes laws and rockefeller laws have indeed put non-violent criminals in jail for long terms, manditory terms, leading to the release of violent criminals. argue all you want about the over top rant he goes on after that but the facts are there, you can put together a list of the attacks on the black community and come to the boiling point. perhaps that's why you changed the subject to pakistan on this one.

“The government lied about inventing the HIV virus as a means of genocide against people of color. The government lied.”
--Oh brother. Pass the tin foil bong.
~are you familiar with the tuskegee study? google that and read about how black men with syphilis were given fake medicine and kept from treatment so the Public Health Service could study the full course of the disease, resulting in unbelieveable suffering for the 600 black men involved. i think the black community has proven grounds to be suspicious.

please remember that obama pretty strongly rejected these comments anyway. i'm discussing them here because there is a basis for doing so, but obama went for a higher level. why don't you read the whole speach and notice that he observed the pain on both sides; that he expressed his feelings for the reverend as basically 'hate the sin but love the sinner;' that he observed we can stay stuck in all these endless distractions or move past these divisions to focus on how all americans are being expoited by the corporate interests and we're all dealing with the same challenges.
read the speech. thank you~~ ssg mark armstrong, 140th chemical company, army national guard
