for either candidate.

I think Kerry got his convention bounce when he made his historically early clinch on the nomination.

The thing I see giving him a bounce is VP selection.

My personal view that is that the Bush campaign is just trying to get everyone disinterested in the election and do whatever they can ensure low voter turnout. They hope by the time the acceptance speeches come around people will be bored to death with the then already 5 month long general election.

Remember, low turnout favors republicans.

But also remember none of the polls are going show either candidate pulling away more than 5-10%, this will be a close election. And national polling means precious little when the election centers on a handful of states.
