How on earth is Kerry "blowing off" the left? Nearly every single stance he has is left-based. Pro-abortion. Anti-death penalty. Lower military spending.

Kerry is trying to win over centrist Repubs by convincing them that he makes more sense than Bush. He doesn't need to pander to the right to do that.
