It's one thing to be pissed if Kerry starts taking conservative POSITIONS in a misguided attempt to attract swing voters. I fully agree with all of you there.

It is quite another, however, for him to self-promote as a centrist. Nearly all candidates do that, and they should. The key to reclaiming the debate, after all, is to present liberal positions as the centrist ones, and conservative positions as radical - which shouldn't really be that difficult, given that it's largely true.

You can certainly criticize some of Kerry's positions as being too centrist or conservative - I would - but this article has nothing whatsoever to do with that question.
