but it was known they were helping him with connections that lead him into the race. The Clintons had promised they would not endorse anyone publicly until someone had won the nomination to keep things fair. They very much though supported Clark, had brought people to Clark to help his campaign, and it was known that Clark and Clintons have been close friends for years. I work for Kucinich in 2004 and a fellow friend and former co-work worked for Clark. The Clintons worked closely with Clark and anyone who were even slightly interested in Clark knew this. It was no secret.
