49. Well they can table a vote at the DNC to seat them for him, so yeah.
Obviously he and the other candidates were political opportunists by chosing not to be represented in those states.

  - Individual state parties....  ingac70   Mar-05-08 02:12 AM   #7
  - The thing is, Idaho wasn't close.  PseudoIntellect   Mar-05-08 02:14 AM   #10
  - Exactly. That's the problem.  zlt234   Mar-05-08 02:16 AM   #12
     - Right now, that would be Senator Obama. - n/t  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 02:20 AM   #14
     - Yup. I totally support democracy, even if my candidate doesn't win. n/t  zlt234   Mar-05-08 02:22 AM   #15
     - Not if you count FL and MI  MonkeyFunk   Mar-05-08 03:00 AM   #38
        - And even if you don't count FL and MI, she still gets less delegates per vote.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 03:20 AM   #41
        - But does she have the lead in the popular vote?  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 03:25 AM   #43
           - Even if she did she could have less delegates, don't ya get that?  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 03:29 AM   #44
              - Perspective: she has to have almost 1.4 million *more* votes than him to *tie* in delegates.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 03:34 AM   #46
                 - No, she could have won in those places that Obama won  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 04:14 AM   #52
                    - The math doesn't lie.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 04:29 AM   #53
                       - No...  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 04:45 AM   #54
                          - I expect the rules to be changed after this DNC.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 04:46 AM   #55
                             - That will not be a consideration  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 04:53 AM   #56
                                - Why wouldn't it be a "consideration"? Do you know the DNC process? Anything can be tabled.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 05:02 AM   #57
                                   - It won't be a consideration because Hillary won't win the majority  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 05:26 AM   #59
        - And how do you count the popular vote from Michigan  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 03:23 AM   #42
           - Exit polling, obviously.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 03:29 AM   #45
           - Obama got no votes in Michigan  MonkeyFunk   Mar-05-08 03:35 AM   #47
              - Well they can table a vote at the DNC to seat them for him, so yeah.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 03:38 AM   #49
              - See, I knew that would be your answer.  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 03:59 AM   #51
                 - And if Clinton was in Obama's spot  MonkeyFunk   Mar-05-08 05:20 AM   #58
     - Well, in that case,  PseudoIntellect   Mar-05-08 02:22 AM   #16
  - Oh, and worse than that...  lapfog_1   Mar-05-08 02:18 AM   #13
     - Yeah, and I never said that was fair either.  zlt234   Mar-05-08 02:25 AM   #18
  - Those delegates are determined by individual votes.... 1000 people vote, 1 delegate  Levgreee   Mar-05-08 02:12 AM   #8
  - The problem is that delegates are worth more in different states.  zlt234   Mar-05-08 02:14 AM   #11
     - It's the same in the General Election, where we have an Electoral system.  Levgreee   Mar-05-08 02:32 AM   #21
        - Yeah, and I think the electoral college should be abolished. So do many, many others. n/t  zlt234   Mar-05-08 02:35 AM   #24
        - DU was *created* because 2000 wasn't based on popular vote.  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 02:41 AM   #30

  - teh internets  Buve   Mar-05-08 02:33 AM   #22

  - BTW, isn't it somewhat amusing that the woman, in the end, gets less reward for equal effort?  joshcryer   Mar-05-08 02:44 AM   #33
  - wow... just wow  Buve   Mar-05-08 02:49 AM   #36
