And I'm making it to those who truly believe in universal healthcare - I'm ignoring all responses on the thread that don't speak about universal health care.
I want to know how important it is to everyone and whether it is as important as the future of the party itself?
I ask this because it seems to be the only compelling policy difference between these two candidates and it seems to be tearing the party apart.
For me it is the most compelling issue right now. That and education (which isn't being talked about now because there isn't a significant policy difference between the candidates on this point).
As a Canadian, I believe that universal health care is a right and not a privilege. If you want to know how important universal health care is to Canadians, ask yourself why Tommy Douglas (Kiefer Sutherland's grandpa) was voted "Greatest Canadian"... You can see it all here:
