114. She is saying what she feels. What many of us feel in this country.
I've never been proud of being an American. Not when racism still exist. Not when a black man was struggled off the back of a truck in texas, or a black man in NY had been raped with a plunger, when that black woman last year in West Virginia was attacked brutially by two white people etc. Please tell me what should I be proud of in America when I never seen a black person successfully get into the White House. You would think that for every race the sky is the limit for them in America. But for blacks its not when you have the fear that a black person will be shot for running for office or that a black person will never make it into the white house.

This is why I never felt like an American because I always knew that blacks had their place and we will never advance to the highest office in the land.
