1. Because I saw such a strong parallel to how Republican congresspeople conducted themselves in the waning months of the 2006 election to how Hillary and her campaign are conducting themselves now, and I thought that my perceived parallel would be of interest to my readers.

2. I thought it was important to show that Hillary was conducting just as vicious a campaign against Obama as one would expect she would wage against a Republican. I dont think that is a good thing.
