85. James Earl Carter
Though not perfect by any stretch, President Carter continues to show the world what can be and what we can all do if we act with love or respect towards others. And he continues to shame the Religious Right by showing the world what a true person of faith (any faith) should do to improve the world for others- contrasted rather sharply with the vitriolic hatred that they spew daily. Not that he's really an *accomplishment* of the party, but he is at least a member. :-)

Dems haven't been great during my lifetime, but I will give my party credit for blocking the nomination of Robert Bork, enacting the ADA and the FMLA, and the Iran Contra investigations (tho even they could have been much better).
