There may not be enough difference between the two establishment parties, and we may have a lot of work to do, but there IS enough difference to matter. The simple fact of the matter is, if Al Gore had been president, even back when he was more of a centrist, we wouldn't be in Iraq right now, we wouldn't be in record debt, we wouldn't have passed the Bush tax cuts, wouldn't have been using torture, wouldn't have appointed Alito and Roberts, and wouldn't have fired Justice Department people for partisan reasons.... to name a few things.
