I think the "Obama coattails" argument is a pretty powerful one. He may find himself pulled to the left in a tidal wave of his own making.
On the other hand: even if Hillary gets in, it will likely be 1994 all over again with the backlash voting. She'll be politically crippled and we'll quickly be treated to round 2 of NAFTA and Welfare Reform.
