It saddens me that even here at DU, those attitudes still exist.
I can only hope that some day we will be above all of that.

It seems like Dems like to court gays and blacks for their votes, but throw them under the bus when it comes time to actually stand up for them.
It's frustrating...and saddening.
My little sister (10 years old), when she heard that people have a problem with gay marriage, shrugged and said, 'Why can't people marry who they love?'
Why are people so threatened by it?
Hell, a ten year old can get it, think there's some hope for this future generation then?
