31. What exactly SHOULD have Axelrod said besides that?
He was asked about how the assassination would impact foreign policy perceptions. He answered it, and very well I might add. He made his candidate look good, which is his job. He deftly punctured the latest theme that Clinton would handle something like this better by bringing it back to her judgement on the IWR. It was well played and it's the truth. Too bad for the Clinton supporters that he didn't throw his candidate under the bus to aggrandize her in a way she frankly doesn't deserve. And he's hardly the only one to politicize it. Evan Bayh came out right away to tout Clinton after it happened.
