40. Many Mormons continue to practice polygamy
The church disavows it... but doesn't seem to apply any pressure at all.

As for racist... Let me just point out that the crux of Mormonism is that there was once an enlightened god-tribe of people in North America who were slaughtered by ignorant, stupid, red-skinned savages who then claimed to be "native" to the land. Do you have any idea how much Native American history has been mangled, how many sacred places have been destroyed or altered or just plain fucked-up, because these people had to defend the religion of rocks-in-a-hat from the preexisting reality of Native Americans? And that such practices continue?

Shall we talk about their funny habit of baptism of the dead?

I'm a little biased to start with, given that I have a real lack of ability to "get" base-line Christianity in the first place, but hte LDS church just makes me want to start biting people's faces
