12. Once again, it's not a racial issue, or at least it shouldn't be.
Some people are over-sensitive, but don't pin this on race. In other words, over-sensitivity, like insensitivity, comes in all colors. There are people who are over-sensitive and people who are insensitive and though they'd loath to hear it, they sometimes come from the same racist-tainted egg. Let me re-emphasize: until we learn to treat all people equally--in good ways and bad--race will continue to divide this nation and our world. Treating people the same doesn't always feel good, but we have to get past this notion that we're going to treat this group this way, that group that way, etc. as if we can somehow reach a mystical perfect balance. It doesn't work that way, though it's convenient for some people to believe that it does. The only chance we have is to have a color blind world and to really care more for one another, regardless of race, i.e., color blind. It may be impossible, but that's the only chance we have, like it or not.
