36. Why is the war the most important issue for you?
Do you think a President Edwards would install PNACers into key Defense and Military positions? I don't think he would. Then what's the big deal?

I think we at DU need to accept that the vast majority of the American public do not care about what the Bush Administration has done in regards to Iraq. Sad, but true. What does concern them is paying their mortgage, getting their kids through college, etc.

Shouldn't the economy be the most important issue for Democrats in this race? It is for the people who will be voting in the General Election. I know it is the most important issue for me.

A Kerry candidacy worries me in this regard: Kerry can't articulate clear policy differences than Bush on the free trade issue. Edwards, on the other hand, can. Kerry can't make political hay about the pro-"outsourcing to India" Bush economic adviser. Edwards can. Kerry is wrong about free trade. Edwards is not.
