82. I Did Read It and Thank-you
I do get a little put out...and you're one of my favorite people here so please don't get mad, it's just that I have encountered this four times in the last week...when people say, "I normally think you have good opinions but this...THIS...what you say here..."

I will probably NEVER agree with or be agreed with 100% of the time by even my closest of friends. I cannot hold back opinions just in case I disappoint someone. That would make me a liar or disingenuous or.... I always state what I really believe. Sometimes I even contradict myself because I have been known to change my mind about things...but I am ALWAYS honest. THAT you can count on.

Anyway, sorry about that it's just that you are like the 4th person this week to do the..."I am disappointed in you..."...type thing.

I loved the quotes in your post and I did go to the links provided. Very informative and good stuff and food for thought. ...and thank-you.

I have very personal reasons for LOATHING religion. My father was an outspoken atheist who debated Christians publicly. We were basically tormented and tortured and harassed and stalked and threatened...by good Christians. My brother used to get beaten up at school. We got bags of of hate mail, DEATH THREATS, accusations of being Commies, even though my father was a WWII many medaled war hero, etc. It wasn't pretty. So yes, I am not very tolerate of the intolerant.

...and supposedly we have this separation of church and state thingie. ...and yes, I know it doesn't use those words but that is how it has been interpreted by most legal scholars. ...no establishment of official religion or something. ...and I wish no politician would EVER discuss it as some kind of ..."look how Holy I am..."

Still, that was good stuff you quoted. I did say, if he was the nominee, I would vote for him and I will, if he is...

Thanks again for the quotes and links.
