34. Clark didnt suddenly become antiwar ....
Edited on Mon Dec-25-06 03:27 PM by Trajan
He was against Iraq from the start ....

You are intentionally giving him short shrift regarding his stance and using non sequitur fallacy to promote your views ... I trust Clark to promote democratic values MORE strongly, and to promote REASONABLE foreign policy MORE intently, than many of the pink tutu's in the party ....

People change, and Clark changed long before the Iraq war: A war he NEVER supported ...

Furthermore: The use of the term 'Antiwar' is prone to intentional misuse, as even the most progressive liberals would NOT be antiwar if they were lived in a country that was invaded .... and we can certainly point to instances, like Germany in Europe in the 30's and 40's, where Liberals would promote war against such a vicious regime ...

I am pacificist, and I am certainly against OFFENSIVE war .. but Im not an idiot: I wont tolerate a dangerous situation and do nothing ...

REAL Defense, not offense, is a worthy goal, when necessary ...

Iraq was not necessary .... Iran is not either ....

Clark agrees with those viewpoints, and I agree with him ....

Antiwar ? ... absolutely : Unless someone puts a hot poker up my ass, then watch the fuck out ....
