3. We use opti-scan and DRE here in our FL county. Totals can be changed
in any number of ways with machines hacked and virus put into the vote counting software. We voted absentee to assure a paper trail. Avi Rubin recommends that, at this late date, all we can do is monitor the actual election process and in particular the vote counting process in the election supervisors' offices to make sure that one goes near the "mother computers."

The only way to be sure our votes have been counted properly is demanding paper trails and random mandatory audits--which is not rquired in any state that I know of. Anyone?
