11. Missed a point on Abu Ghraib.

Over 90% of those interred at Abu Ghraib were ultimately released after all the torture determined they knew nothing. You talk of "petty crimes", but the bulk of those interred at that prison were arrested solely for living in villages near where terrorist attacks occurred.

We rounded everybody up. We tortured everybody. We discovered 90% of them knew nothing and let them go. We kept the 10% who knew something.

The next time there is a crime in Debi's home town I bet the police would find it a lot easier to solve if they arrest the entire town and tortured them for a few months until they were certain they had all the guilty parties. Surely Debi wouldn't mind be tortured for a few months as long as it guaranteed nothing bad (aside from the torture obviously) would happen to her?
