13. There was a time when there was liberal/progressives in the Republican
Party. They actually balanced/negated the influence of conservative Democrats. But those days are long gone. I think the national Republican leadership can't even be politically labeled. They are neither conservative nor liberal. They are opportunistic criminals. Still, we need to understand this shift and pressure our Party to move in the other direction.
