unless sticky situations are racial. Hugging the tar baby is like getting yourself stuck in an impossible situation and you can't get out. Tony Snow is probably racist, but not because of this. Remember when Adlai Stevenson used the word niggardly, and people thought it was racial? from dictionary.com 1 entry found for tar baby. tar baby n. A situation or problem from which it is virtually impossible to disentangle oneself.
