There was a time when Americans liked liberty. There was a time when Americans were willing do die for it. It seems that now all Americans care for is a warm TV, a TV Dinner and don't bother me. More people know who the judges for American Idol are than what the First Amendment says... and they are proud of it. What is going on? Truly it is scary... for what we are seeing is that indeed it can happen here. This country is NOT the essential nation, nor is it an exceptional nation. It is a young nation, with no sense of history and with screwed up priorities.

We scream OH MY GOD when we have a wardrobe malfunction that truly most did not even see... until it was pointed out to them. We impeach a President over a thing EVERY President since Washington has done, but it is honky dory when his successor takes us to war on pretenses. No, you can no longer pretend, the Memos are there... the evidence is overwhelming, and any of yuo who still scream, should google A New Pearl Harbor and the Project for a New American Century.

For the moment here are some choice sections of it

It is time for people to get their heads out of their collective behinds and realize that the country is no longer the United States we all grew up in (ro came to). This country is now an Empire and even our so-called opposition party, is fulfilling its Imperial designs. They are not a real opposition party, and that is the truth. So what it will take for most people in this country to turn off American Idol and turn in to the Values that ONCE were part of this nation?
