I picture Tom standing up there in court and making a spectacle of himself, as his lawyer frantically pulls at his sleeve.

"This court is illegal! You have no authority! I protest the (thump! slam! clink!) "MMMMPH! MMMMMMMMMMPH! (CLANG!)mmmmph..."

Bang! (gavel) "Next case!"
