40. I applaud Chris Rock

If you're poor - including working poor- right now the cost of gas and electricity is a HUGE problem. Most of the people I work with are poor. Right now the Utility is sending out shut-offs by the bagload, the agencies who ordinarly assist are tapped out, and because it is summer the Utility can shut off households even with babies, sick people, old people without the safeguards that stave off freezing to death in the winter.
