8. The NYT is the Sybil of the News Industry- definitely suffering from
MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder)

God knows, I have always thought that the the NYT was indeed the pinnacle of the industry and really reported "all the news fit to print" and I always thought they had the very best and the very brightest and I still believe that to some extent. They are the home of the very best editorial writers in the country ( Paul Krugman alone makes buying the NYT worthwhile)

But Judith Miller? She is very like Jayson Blair or that Washington Post writer Janet Cooke that had her Pulitzer snatched away. I think Judith Miller doesn't want to face a Grand Jury inquisition because she would definitely be heaped in their ranks if she actually had to talk about her sloppy reporting. She was a mouthpiece plain and simple. I bet she doesn't want to talk about how and in what ways she was compensated by this administration. I think she is silent due to self-interest above all other.
