It isn't necessary to group in people who don't always defend Dean as strongly as we like in with them. It doesn't help Dean, and it doesn't help the Party. Think what you will of Brazile for whatever reasons, but she is not among those who are out to get Dean. A friend was taping CNN the other day when she was on at the same time as Robert Novak, who predictably was blasting Dean. Brazile responded to one of Novak's insults by saying that "Dean would go down in history as one of the best party chairs." She also pointed out that Dean has strong support from Democrats outside the beltway. You didn't hear that from Biden.
