37. I completely agree, and he also recovered at the end
To paraphrase, when responding to the chair in the last moments, he said something to the effect of "and by doing so, I'm speaking through you to Mr. Levin."

Such subtle moments say everything, and even in the heat of a major moment, he had the sense and deftness to make the effort. Levin also had the sense to back off, and I think this is not only a truly historic moment for the backbone of the accused, but the interplay that followed.

Carl has taken much, and so has George. To be in a moment like this was extremely awkward for both. Levin's schtick is propriety and calmness, whereas Galloway's is that of a gentlemanly bomb-thrower. Both have merit, and neither is superior. It was an odd clash of the like-minded, and my ire is more directed at radicals who are too quick to vilify Levin than at Galloway.

Fine theatre, I must say.

I just want to know if there's any video record of Galloway calling that Judas Goat Christopher Hitchens a "drink soaked ex-Trotskyite popinjay". Now THAT'S entertainment!
