86. I agree, the label is used to cover a lot of crap.
And when applied to corporations (who have too much power and liberty in our society) as opposed to individuals (who have too little, IMHO) it becomes ridiculous.

But really, I consider myself mildly left-leaning and socially libertarian. I think there are certain societal compacts (like health coverage) which cannot legitimately be left 100% to free enterprise. But overall, I do believe in the "power of freedom and autonomy". Shit, I don't think that's naive at all! Look at the history of the human race- what is the alternative.. top down control? You end up with Totalitarianism, or the Catholic Church, or both...

Seriously, I'm not trying to argue, I'm just curious- if you don't believe, at least somewhat, in the "power of freedom and autonomy", what DO you believe in?
