you saying this is revealing Frankly, I don't think it was a wrong vote.

Even I knew that the administration was running a scam on Democrats timed for the elections. Why did those voting against the resolution do so? Because they were all pacifist? Senator Chafee of RI voted against it, and he may be moderate, but he's no pacifist.

I don't buy the reason that you give as to why the Democratic Senator voted for the IWR. I don't believe that he saw evidence that made him believe that Saddam was an imminent threat to the U.S. Hell, I saw Powell's presentation to the U.N. If this is the evidence that Edwards saw, then I can only shake my head.

You are right, I do believe that Edwards voted the way they he did for pragmatic political reasons that were more personal than altruistic.

Millions protested and knew that up was up, and what was down was down. Why didn't Edwards?

I believe that bad political calculative judgement, not bad ideology got in the way.
