and if the truth is an insult, well, sorry that you interpret it that way. I am pointing out the facts.

The religion that has latched on to the "pro life" meme in conjunction with the fanatic Christain fundamentalists, who also use that meme,--who prefer that, instead of the more truthful and the more honest "pro-choice" is indeed patriarchal. And stubborly so. It has a history of excluding women and does not, it appears, intend to change. It has a history of putting women in to the second place slot under that occupied by the male with priveleges that they are not privvy to.

I am not insulting you and your choice to have faith in your religion,nor directing insult at your personal choice, but I am not obliged to sing the praises of a religion, or to show respect to those policies I think are immoral re women, and am pointing out those facts that are dangerous to women and their health re the abortion issue.

I would like to point out that much the same is often done here re the Christian fundamendalists, who are not considered "real Christians" by a great majority of other Christians here and many times followers of that particular sect of Christianity are indeed personally attacked for their choice or for their faith.
