46. The "F" word: facts
Russert is a close friend of Rummy's, keep that fact at the ready for evaluating anything that went on. Russert provided a very grand opportunity for Rummy to spew his bile. Notice that Tim failed to point out the denials from the contractors that the Pentagon had asked for increased armour production. Also, missing the logic board: if it suddenly only takes 4 months to get the damn shit armoured up, what were they doing for the past 2 years?

Watching Ted Kennedy on MTP. Whoa....finally someone calls them on one of the lies they repeat without rebuttal: no one predicted this level of insurgency. Say what? Why has the regime been allowed to get away with this whopper? Remember the article that the rightwing along with their helpers on the left was sooooooo quick to pick up on; the one that General Clark wrote for the London Times? That would be the same one that Russert quoted to the General in an interview on MTP where nothing was asked about policy finding it so much more important to stick to repeating vile rumors? Yes that article: the one in which Wes Clark warns us of the difficulties that were ahead of us in Iraq including insurgency and civil war.

Ted Kennedy also pointed out--again, how or why the regime gets away with these transparently inaccurrate statements boggles the mind--that plenty of countries have over turned their governments, had elections, and become emerging democracies without having us invade them. Maybe TK took the time to read "Broken Engagement." Or maybe he just has a functioning brain.

Now wouldn't it be great if Russert had more than a functioning big fat wallet?
