But seriously, if we change the moniker from the Donkey we just give them more ammo to paint us with "flip floppers" and "running from your past and the truth" and "you can change your stripes, but you can't change who you are".
What we need is a modern day Thomas Nast to give the Party a new symbol, then we can run with it.
