the general public gets to wade through political spin and a host of poll numbers- some legitimate, some nonsense, and it is often hard to tell the difference. You can bet your ass that the campaigns themselves, ESPECIALLY the one being run out of the White house, have very accurate, scientifically modeled polling to direct their activities.
