140. More firemen thought there were explosions & huge chunk fell off WTC2
EMT MICHAEL OBER WTC2

Then we heard a rumble, some twisting metal, we looked up in the air, and to be totally honest, at first, I dont know exactlybut it looked to me just like an explosion. It didnt look like the building was coming down, it looked like just one floor had blown
completely outside of it. I was sitting there looking at it. I just never thought they would around and saw the debris coming down.

FIREFIGHTER ROBERT NORRIS
WTC2
I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE THIRD PLANE COMING IN HEARD THE PROPULSION OF AN ENGINE AND THEN AN EXPLOSION. WE LOOKED UP AND SAW THESE HUGE CHUNKS THERES ONE PARTICULAR PIECE OF THIS BUILDING THAT FELL IN ITS ENTIRETY THAT ILL NEVER FORGET IT WAS AS IF IT WAS A SCHWARTZENAGER MOVIE TAKING PLACE

WTC1
WE WALKED BACK TOWARDS WHAT SAYS 4 WORLD FINANCIAL CENTER MERRILL LYNCH BUILDING REMEMBER BEING OVER THERE AND DID HEAR YET ANOTHER WHAT THOUGHT WAS PROPULSION OF PLANE AND THEN AN EXPLOSION AND THEN WE ALL DOVE TO THE FLOOR
