8. Do you know how fast these fighter jets go?
As I understand, about 1500 miles an hour.

Long Island is 118 miles long, and that includes Brooklyn. If they are even all the way out at the furthest point which is Montauk, it should only take them, at top speed, 5 minutes to get to the city.
