I construed that post as politely Socratic. Hard to say, but I scored the thread the same way johnnie did: I didn't see more than two posts that seemed genuinely credulous. Definitely open to interpretation.
That said, I think that incredulity (however tactful) is a highly appropriate response to the OP, no matter how much one wants to stick it to The Man. Another appropriate response is to back slowly away; that has been my tack prior to this post.
