and I KNOW from experience that means he DID largely share their political views, because anybody that didn't match their insane worldview almost down the line was ALWAYS excoritated, with the worst being wished on them, and intense gloating occurring whenever anything untoward happened to anyone they loathed, like, say Vince Foster
