I loved it. It's really chatty and very easy to read, and if people are looking for dry historical/political accounts of the conflict, this isn't the book for you. It's just about this woman and how she copes with day to day life under really difficult circumstances. It's also probably not going to be an enjoyable read for those who like stereotyping Palestinians as monstrous, Jew-hating, zealots, or for those who see Palestinians as being total victims who can't lead any sort of life at all without abject misery, as it will prove both stereotypes wrong...

another book I got at a flea-market while I was holidaying in QLD is the autobiography of Menachim Begin that he wrote while he was PM. I haven't started reading it yet, though...
