Our own history-- I'm assuming you're American-- is filled with blockade runners for what most Americans would call patriotic reasons. Conversely, do you accept the legitimacy and legality of any embargo, simply because one or another government wishes to declare one? I believe that was part of the attempted legal basis for attacking cargo and passenger transports in the Atlantic during WWII, for example-- they were running the Axis embargo of Allied european countries.
Again, I think you're going to come down on the wrong side of history in this argument. The rest of the world is not fooled.
