| 49. Please provide proof that Israel is pointing nukes at Syria? |
|
Please provide proof that Israel occupies Syrian territory illegally? They have every right to occupy it under 242 until a comprehensive peace is made
"Currently Syria is considered a rogue nation by the worlds only superpowerand it's next door neighbour, the regions superpower, illegally occupies part of its territory and points nuclear weapons at it. Why should the people of Syria not also have a deterrent against this threat?"
Aside from the fact they signed the NPT which makes it illegal see my post 47
also The US and Israel are liberal democracies. Syria is a brutal authoritarian state who has a history of waging aggresive wars at Israel. Despite Syrias aressive history to Israel, Israel has refrained from nuking them or even unleashing a total conventional destruction of them. Your logic would make brutal dictators everywhere give you a standing ovation and salute. Your logic would mean the Axis powers should have nukes to protect against the Allies, that Saddam should have nukes or that any brutal regime has a right to them simply because their enemy does too regardless if their enemy is liberal democracy trying to protect itself.
"So Israel has nukes as a deterrent, but a nation israel is pointing nukes at seeks the bomb it's obviously for agressive purposes."
Well maybe you trust and support brutal authoritarian regimes with posessing nukes and even when they have a history of agression, but I dont and neither would most intelligent people. Supporting such regimes may be the right wing or far left thing to do but as I liberal I will side with the liberal democracies.
