31. This is very basic stuff shira....
What does it mean not to support violent resistance but still recognize the rights of others to violently resist?

It means that you advocate personally methods other than violence to resolve conflicts, but also recognise the right of opressed people to resist using whatever means is necessary to best effect change. For instance, personally, I boycott Israeli goods...but I also support the right of a palestinian man who had to dig whats left of most of his family out of the rubble during OCL, and now sees the rest suffering under the blockade, to strike out aginst the opressors.

Let me make it easier for you. Its like being pro choice. It doesn't mean you want to kill babies, or that you're pro abortion. It simply means you recognise the right to choose. See?

If Jews of the Warsaw ghetto violently resisted by attacking soft targets (elderly and young Germans), is that a right you would recognize?

I really do love your hypotheticals. When the IDF actually went onto the streets of Gaza during OCL, hamas faught them on the street. But to answer your questions, had the people in the warsaw ghettos best means of resistance been to attack soft targets, then I would recognise that right. And you need to check your definitions, soft targets does not mean the elderly and the young. When it comes to killing the most elderly and the most young the IDF hold that title by an order of magnitude.

By the way, attempting to ask such questions does not diminish your hypocracy, or divert attention from it. Guess the only holocaust survivors worthy of your support are the ones who agree with you.

Again, well done
