than raping a single person, than killing a single person or even than destroying a town. The results would be qualitatively different than stealing one penny. I tried to explain that, but apparently I didn't use small enough words.
I have a sense of empathy, not only for rape victims (of whom several have shared their pain with me personally) but for fools. In deciding how to view you I am going with pity rather than contempt.
That's empathy.
